About Aetna
Aetna is a national health insurer under CVS Health, with a network of over 850,000 physicians and 6,900 hospitals across the country. In New Jersey, Aetna offers HMO, PPO, EPO, and POS plan types through employer-sponsored coverage. Members get the Aetna Health app with digital ID cards, deductible tracking, and claims management. Note: Aetna commercial plans are separate from Aetna Better Health, which is Aetna's Medicaid managed care plan for NJ FamilyCare.
Who is eligible?
Aetna commercial plans are available through employer-sponsored coverage in New Jersey. Aetna is not currently on the GetCoveredNJ marketplace for 2026. Unlike NJ FamilyCare, there are no income limits — eligibility depends on your employer's plan offerings.
