Text Message (SMS) Terms
Effective October 1, 2026
Program
Hometown Pediatrics Text Messages, provided by Hometown Pediatrics MSO LLC, which operates Hometown Pediatrics and Watchung Pediatrics.
What we send
Appointment reminders, practice updates such as hours changes and closures, a text after a visit asking how it went, and, for our own clinical staff, after-hours on-call pages. We do not send marketing texts.
How you sign up for texts
Texts are opt-in. A parent or guardian signs up in one of these ways, and each one asks you first:
- Front desk. When you register or update your contact details, our staff ask whether Hometown Pediatrics may send automated calls and texts to your mobile number. They record your yes or no in our records.
- Self check-in. The check-in form asks whether you want text alerts. You choose yes or no.
- Patient portal. Open My Profile, then Notification Settings. Check “Include text messaging as a contact option” and the box agreeing to the terms, which says message frequency may vary and message and data rates may apply. Uncheck it any time to stop.

By signing up you agree to get appointment reminders, practice updates and visit feedback requests from Hometown Pediatrics at the mobile number you gave us. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Saying no to texts does not affect your child’s care. The rest of these terms and our Privacy Policy apply. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
On-call pages go only to our own clinicians. Each clinician gave us their mobile number so we can page them after hours when they are on call. A page carries only a case number. Clinicians can reply STOP at any time, and our on-call system also reaches them by phone call.
Message frequency
Varies. Appointment reminders are sent per appointment, feedback requests at most once per visit, and practice updates occasionally. Message and data rates may apply.
Opt out
Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts. You will get one message confirming you are unsubscribed. You can also tell our office staff.
Help
Reply HELP or call us at Freehold (732) 577-0047 or Wall (732) 280-6455.
Not for emergencies
Texts are not monitored for urgent medical questions. If your child needs care right away, call our office; in an emergency call 911.
Carriers
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
See our Privacy Policy at /privacy-policy for how we handle your information.
