Aetna Better Health of New Jersey is a Medicaid managed care plan that participates in NJ FamilyCare, New Jersey's Medicaid and CHIP program. It is one of five managed care organizations contracted with the state to provide health coverage to eligible families. Members get a 24/7 nurse hotline and access to a statewide provider network. Aetna Better Health is backed by CVS Health.
Who qualifies
New Jersey families who qualify for NJ FamilyCare (Medicaid) based on household income. Children under 19 are eligible with family incomes up to 355% of the federal poverty level. Immigration status is not a factor for children under 19. Apply through NJ FamilyCare at njfamilycare.dhs.state.nj.us or by calling 1-800-701-0710.
