UnitedHealthcare is the largest commercial health insurer in the United States, with a network of over 1.7 million physicians and 7,000 hospitals nationwide. In New Jersey, UHC offers multiple plan types through employers and on the GetCoveredNJ marketplace. Members get access to the UnitedHealthcare app with digital ID cards, cost estimator for 19,000+ services, and the Rally wellness platform. Note: UnitedHealthcare commercial plans are separate from UnitedHealthcare Community Plan, which is the Medicaid managed care plan for NJ FamilyCare.
Who is eligible?
UnitedHealthcare commercial plans are available through employers and on the GetCoveredNJ marketplace. UHC is one of five carriers on the NJ exchange for 2026. Unlike NJ FamilyCare, there are no income limits — eligibility depends on your employer or marketplace enrollment.
