Dr. Alex—as his patients know him—has wanted to be a doctor since he was a kid: "I wore a doctor's costume to my first-grade Halloween party."
Born in the Philippines, he moved to New Jersey as a toddler and grew up in Jersey City and later Monmouth County. His uncle's pediatric residency in Jersey City sparked his interest in the specialty—they'd discuss cases together, and he was hooked.
After studying biology at Villanova, he returned to the Philippines for medical school at St. Louis University, then back to New Jersey for his residency at Monmouth Medical Center.
Now living in Monmouth County with his wife, two kids, and one furry friend, he runs into families everywhere—grocery stores, hardware stores, concerts, and local "watering holes".
Having practiced in the same Wall office for two decades, Dr. Alex treats his patients like family: "I tell parents I'll never do anything to their children that I'm not willing to do for my own."
