Dr. Rahmet never expected to become a pediatrician: "I never thought of it in medical school. After all, a baby can't give a history or describe their symptoms—all they do is cry."
It wasn't until she had her own children that she understood the importance of the specialty.
Having trained at FG College for Women in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, Dr. Rahmet earned her medical degree at Rawalpindi Medical University. She completed her residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
